Spring will soon be here and your pond will need a good cleaning after a hard winter.
We provide pond cleaning - filter changes,water changes and conditioning for spring.
The health of your fish will depend on good water quality. Below is a few steps to help you
get ready for spring.

Get container ready to transfer fish

Start pumping your pond water into the container which will hold your fish while you clean.

Start pumping out water in the pond (fish are easily removed in about 5" of water)

Remove all fish (with net) and put into container -cover container as fish tend to jump out when moved)

Using a water hose or power washer start cleaning rocks and sides of pond - pond vac works well.

Do not used any detergents to clean pond - just water and scrub

Wash all filters/or replace/lava rock any filters which you will use.

As you fill up your clean pond, you will need some good bacteria - such as Aquaclearer

Clean up your plants/repot them/set them where you want.

Check your fish (still in container) for any parasites and sores.

If any fish are sick - do not put back in pond -set up separate tank and get medicine.see us

Add salt (important to fish well being) especially in Spring Time

After pond is filled - put fish back - and we start all over again

Go to Garden Oaks and get your floating plants (first plants) to shade water
